Positively impacting the organization by increasing membership as well as partnering with Long Island-based professional organizations to create awareness of the FWA helps to raise the profile of the FWA on Long Island and simultaneously generate support, referrals and sponsorships in the geographic area.

The Invisible Threads That Bind Us: Paying It Forward the Right Way (August 2013)

Highlighted for being both an author and networking event that took place at The Crushed Olive on Main Street in Huntington, Laura Schroff, former media executive and author of “An Invisible Thread”, spoke to a full house of FWA Members and guests about her true story of meeting an 11-year-old panhandler and their unlikely meeting with destiny.

Skills + Sales = Promotion, Are You Ready??? (May 2013)

Nearly 30 attendees participated in this interactive training session presented by Jill Sessa, which was a taste of the B.A.N.K. Sales training program, offering very useful tools that can be leveraged to support various sales efforts.

Come Swirl with the FWA-Annual Wine Tasting Event (2012)

A night of networking and wine tastings were held at Young’s Fine Wines & Spirits featuring Scarola Vineyards, a family-owned winery in Long Island’s luscious wine country. Business professionals in Long Island enjoyed a delicious buffet of appetizers and desserts with wine pairings while learning about the history of Long Island wine, wine varietals, and wine tasting skills taught by the owner of Scarola Vineyards.
