Key highlights of past events include:

  • Ein Feb-BREW-ary Fest- During this exciting gathering, over 100 people shared German food and beer in honor of the 2014 international trip to Germany.
  • Quarterly intro-committee dialogue events
  • Rye, Ribs and Bibs- This social/networking event featured tasty BBQ, high-end rye whiskey and aprons with sponsor logos as gifts. The sponsorship event outlined specifics related to “Sponsoring Women to Success” including the need for increased sponsorship by men and women to enable women to rise to the top of their professions.

In the near future, events held by this Committee will follow already successful themes such as women in the military and sports as well as workplace challenges men and women alike continue to encounter in the workplace.

“This Committee was created for enlightened men who ‘get it’ and understand what it means to help promote and advance women’s issues in the financial landscape,” Freddy Smith, former committee co-chair explained. “It’s about building long-term relationships and friendships in this industry.”

In addition to advancing women’s careers, the Men’s Alliance works with other committees to mentor young women and men, who then learn the ins and outs about networking which leads to a much more successful job search.

“The men involved in the Men’s Alliance are dedicated to doing anything that will support women in their careers, especially at the executive level,” Charles Bernard, co-chair concluded.
