Professional Services Liaison

“It is extremely important that our executive level bar leaders participate in professional development programs. It sends a very strong message to developing attorneys and business people when New York’s former Chief Judge, a sitting GC of a Fortune 500 company, a sitting GC of a Fortune 100 company and the former head of enforcement for our nation’s largest financial regulatory organization agree to come together to share how attendees can break through the glass ceiling,”
— Susan Harper, former President of the FWA (2012-2013)

Helping women to realize the immense benefits related to networking and being a member of the Financial Women’s Association (FWA), the Professional Services Liaison works closely with individuals primarily in the legal and accounting spaces through co-sponsoring events that were originated to spark the interests of lawyers, accountants and FWA Members employed in other related fields as well.

With two annual in person meetings scheduled in the months of January and July, this committee caters to Members always on-the-go through its monthly telephone conference calls occurring at 4 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month.

Additionally, the professional development program offers 2 CLE credits to attendees through the New York County Lawyers’ Association.

“It’s important to have a valuable, enriching volunteer experience as an FWA Member. Committee participation can enhance the value of FWA membership. Our committee dinner meetings twice a year give Members an opportunity to get to know each other better,” Susan Migliaccio, Committee co-chair added.

Past prominent women that have spoken at Professional Services events are:
